HOLSTER RESTRICTIONS POLICY

SERPA HOLSTERS ARE STRICTLY PROHIBITED AT RED RIVER WEST. All holsters will be inspected to ensure they are in compliance with our guidelines and safe for use. This includes any holster considered "serpaesque" or having the same type of release that the Serpa holsters have.

The safety vetting class is done for everyone’s protection and to ensure that those on the range understand the importance of constant vigilance with regard to safety.

RIFLE: The long range safety vetting class is for those wanting to shoot out past 300 yards.

HANDGUN: If you wish to draw from the holster, shoot on the move, use props such as barricades, or shoot past 50 yards, a Safety Vetting Class is required. This is necessary to ensure everyone understands the basic fundamentals involved. For example, drawing safely from the holster requires a particular skill level and, as a result, is something that very few ranges allow. ALL holsters must be approved by Red River West prior to use. (Please see the serpa holster restriction below.)

CARBINE: A safety vetting class is required for anyone wishing to shoot while moving and/or use barricades.

Due to our being a very remote location, our safety vetting process is meant to enhance everyone’s safety and security. Everyone’s adherence to our safety procedures and protocol is expected and appreciated.

PLEASE NOTE OUR AMMO RESTRICTIONS POLICY. THIS IS NOT NEGOTIABLE. IF YOU HAVE ANY QUESTIONS REGARDING THIS OR ANY OF OUR POLICIES PLEASE CONTACT US WELL AHEAD OF YOUR VISIT AT 940-284-3200.The cost for the vetting class is $100.00.

Please see our Ammo Restrictions PolicyPRIOR to purchasing your ammo for use of the range.
